Our Structure
Rutgers University consists of three main regional locations and the state's largest academic health center, each led by a chancellor.
Rutgers is accredited as one university, and the president presides over it as the chief executive officer. Reporting to the president are the chancellors of Rutgers University–New Brunswick and Rutgers Health—together these divisions compose the Association of American Universities (AAU) unit of Rutgers. The chancellors of Rutgers University–Newark and Rutgers University–Camden also report to the president.
Twelve central administration units report to the president and keep the university running smoothly, establishing universitywide policies and supporting academic and organizational activities across all divisions.
