Presidential Search Timeline

The Presidential Search Committee is named in November 2024 and meets for the first time in December when it is charged and begins its work.

The next phase in the search involves gathering feedback from key stakeholder groups to inform the leadership profile, including listening sessions at each university location and virtual listening sessions in December. The goal is to have a leadership profile finalized in December, and WittKeiffer begins recruiting candidates for the position.

The committee will spend January through March aiding in the evaluation of candidates, helping cultivate the pool, and interviewing candidates to recommend to the Board of Governors as finalists.

The search committee's goal is to conclude by April 2025, when the Board of Governors will appoint the 22nd President of Rutgers University.
